It’s been a while since I’ve done a Cup O’doodle sketch.  So I wanted to draw a few but keep it sketchy rather than trying to polish the drawing.

There you have it, 3 shapes - 12 heads.

Experimenting with style

Trying out a bit of art direction in environments to see if I can get a dull & broken look

I’ve recently come across a great blog post about 51 Animation Exercises and thought it’d be a nice idea to go through them.  Having seen David O’Reilly released his rigs from “The External World”, I thought I’d do these exercises using those rigs which are great to work with because they’re very light.

Grandpa explorations

Another drawing for Cup’o’Doodle.  Man, those shapes are really challenging. I’m also trying to get better at using light with color. Clearly it has issues, but bear with me, i’ll slowly get there.

A few grandfather designs for an upcoming project, a few could very well pass as hipsters!

Some character designs I did for a pitch at Robotika which unfortunately didn’t go through. Really had fun designing and had some nice animation/movement ideas for these guys.  Maybe, some day…

More stuff for Cup’o’doodle

Happy New Year

I started contributing to Cup’o’Doodle which is a great source of inspiration and really does push you to think out of the box using just the given doodle to come up with something interesting.  Check the site out, really great stuff by amazing artists.

After a long long time, I could manage to update the header image for “everythinganimated” channel I’m curating on Vimeo.

It’s a great way to discover amazing animation, and I do all the work :) You just have to sit back and watch new stuff.  So go subscribe!

I made a tiny gif for Ryan Todd’s ChristmasGifs project.  It was also nice practice to fiddle with some 3D/2D mixing for my short.
