Hey Tom, That's just straight forward painting using Posca Markers, and no varnish on them. Though the paint is not water-resistant, so i should varnish it.
Ah wicked may have to give that a go. Stumbled across your blog yesterday and great illustrations I must say! Thanks for the tip, i'll be in touch if I give it a go

How did you paint that on? Is it just straight forward paint on then varnish over the top?
